Money and distress

Money and distress

Someone asked the peasant woman, "you often talk about money. Do you want money very much?"

This question is strange. Here and now, people who don't want money must have something wrong in their mind. Although the peasant woman is stupid, she is not so stupid that she doesn't even understand the benefits of money.

Recently, I don't know which newspaper I saw an article about money. It was very wonderful. Here, I made a "text stealing public" (not "copying public", because I couldn't find the original text, I wrote it only by memory). The last few paragraphs are used to emphasize the peasant women's understanding and experience of money.

Money can buy "house", but not "home" and cheap dance shoes ;

Money can buy "medicine", but not "health" and cheap tap dance shoes;

Money can buy "delicious food", but not "appetite";

Money can buy "bed", but not "sleep";

Money can buy "precious jewelry", but not "beauty";

Money can buy "entertainment", but not "pleasure";

Money can buy "books", but not "brains";

Money can buy "flattery", but not "respect";

Money can buy "partners", but not "friends"  and ccheap tap shoes;

Money can buy "luxury goods", but not "culture";

Money can buy "paper and pen", but not "Wensi";

Money can buy "power", but not "wisdom";

Money can buy "obedience", but not "loyalty";

Money can buy "villain's heart", but not "gentleman's ambition";

Money can buy "body", but not "soul";

Money can buy "false fame", but not "practical learning";

Money can buy "nuclear weapons", but not "peace";

Money can buy... Yes, money can buy many things, but there is no denying that there are many things that money can't buy. The most distressing  thing is that most of what peasant women pray for are things that money can't buy.
